Verna Bentley

Verna Madeline Bentley, born on September 16, 1933 in Delisle, SK, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 91. 

She was predeceased by her husband, William John Edward (Jackie) Bentley on February 15, 1995, and her grandson, Dillon Jack Bentley on October 4, 2024. 

Verna is lovingly remembered by one son, Reg (Laurie) of Flin Flon, MB, and four daughters, Marilyn (Garry) of Blind Bay, BC, Kelly of Edmonton, AB, Gail of Winfield, BC, and Laureen (Chris) of Delisle, SK; five grandchildren, Shane (Wendy) of Flin Flon, MB, Trevor (Spencer) of Orlando, FL, Abby of Vancouver, BC, Will and Max of Delisle; and three great-grandchildren, Cache and Soleil Bentley and Danny Bentley; also sister, Leona Teed of Red Deer, AB and brother, Gordon (Vi) Weber of Red Deer; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Verna grew up in Delisle where she married Jackie and they raised their 5 children. She worked as a telephone operator and waitress over the years, as well as a hardworking Mom and homemaker. She loved her family deeply, and loved sports, playing as a young girl and woman and watching throughout the years as her children and grandchildren played. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and absolutely loved watching her grandsons play ball. She was their biggest fan!

She was a very special person, with a fantastic sense of humor, and will be missed by her family and everyone that knew her.

The Family will be having a private burial and gathering in July.
