It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vesna Vucinic on November 15 ^th 2018 at the age of 63. Vesna passed away with her family at her side at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Vesna will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Milan Vucinic of Saskatoon, daughters Yelena Landry (Sebastien Landry) of Edmonton, Bojana Vucinic (Mark Steckler) of Saskatoon, grandchildren Alexandra Landry and Novak Steckler, sister Spomenka Brkin (Ziko Brkin) of Novi Sad, and all of her close friends and family in Canada, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, and Australia. Vesna was predeceased by her parents Ilija and Nada Banjac. Vesna’s family would like to express special thanks to Prof. Dr. Matthias Kieslich of Frankfurt University Clinic and his wife Dr. Mirjam Dereser for all of their kindness and support over the past five years, as well as numerous doctors, nurses and support staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre and RUH. The family would also like to express our sincere love and gratitude to close friends Stanko and Ljilja Pelemis and Murat and Zlata Cilimdzic for their continued family support, especially over the past several weeks. A celebration of Vesna’s life will be held on Thursday November 22 ^nd at 3:00pm at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Ave N, Saskatoon, SK). For close friends who wish to extend their condolences to the family before the funeral, they are invited to 1712 Lorne Avenue at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 20 ^th .
