Vinola Mae Wallace

1932 — September 17, 2020

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Nola (Vinola) Wallace at the age of 88 years. Nola was born in Dundurn County Saskatchewan, spending a happy childhood with her brothers and cousins on the farm. She lived her adult life in Saskatoon; enjoying a long and rewarding job at the University of Saskatchewan and being involved in her church, St Paul’s Lutheran. Nola had a passion for gardening and was meticulous about keeping her home and yard in tip top condition. She valued her family and friends a great deal and spent many good times laughing and playing cards with them all. She will be dearly missed.

Nola was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Wallace, her parents (Paul and Mathilda Mienhart), her brothers Cliff Mienhart and Donnie Mienhart (sisters-in-law Donna Mienhart and Joyce Mienhart) and sister-in-law Marilyn Fisher.

She is survived by her nieces Cathy Cyr (Bob), Lori Mienhart, Jen Cyr (and family), Regan Petrosky (Alex and family), Carolyn Fawcett (Curtis), Lynda Lou Jesse (Shawn and family) and nephew Jason Fisher. As well, her sister-in-law Lucille Larson, brother-in-law Don Fisher and cousins June Faber, Jerry Hartz and Verna Pagoda (Ed).

A private family service will be held in the near future. Donations may be made in Nola’s name to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
