Wayne Alexander Brinkman

1946 — September 12, 2022

Wayne Alexander Brinkman (1946 - 2022), 76 passed on September 12th, 2022 at Porteous Lodge in Saskatoon.

Wayne was a lineman and built  power lines across western Canada. Upon retiring he spent most of his days at the lake camping and fishing which brought him great pleasure as well as peace to his soul. While at the lake Wayne met his future love of his life, Patricia Vandale (he would say, “the biggest fish I ever caught”. Patty became his best friend and his soulmate.

Wayne loved people, especially kids (because he was a big kid himself). He loved to make people laugh and laughed along right with them. Wayne also loved singing and had a beautiful voice.

Wayne was the unofficial mayor of Pickeral Point campground at Delaronde Lake.  Fishermen were directed to see him for the best fishing spots.

Family and friends remember Wayne loved helping people in their time of need, even if it meant giving them his last $10.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Urban and Genevieve (Prodahl) Brinkman, brothers, Donnan Brinkman and James Brinkman (Norma). Wayne is survived by his soulmate Patricia Vandale, brother Douglas (Lillian) and sisters, Cheryl Brinkman, Penelope (Jack) Smith, daughters, Michelle, Kerri and Stacey and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Long may you fish in heavens waters.
