BRISSAW, Wayne Wesley
Aug 19, 1940 to Oct 22, 2018
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family announces Wayne’s passing after a two year courageous battle with cancer.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Lorraine; son, Wade (Jodi);  daughter, Trina (Michael) and granddaughters Hope, Jessyca, Madison (Matt), and Jayla; step granddaughters and great grandchildren Blake and Sage; sister, Lorna; sister-in- law’s, Linda (Ed), Patricia, and Val; nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
One of Wayne’s biggest passions in life was music, which continued through his whole life.  From an early age music held a special place in his heart and the guitar was one of his great loves.   He was a very talented guitar player.  He played professionally for numerous years in both Saskatchewan and in the United States.  Along with Lorraine, they entertained many family and friends.
Sports were another of his great passions.  He was loyal to the Saskatchewan Roughriders and his beloved Montreal Expos now the Washington Nationals.  He loved to golf achieving a 6 handy-cap, rising at 4:00 am to get his rounds in before going to work as a plumber and serving his many loyal customers.
He enjoyed camping trips in their trailer which took him and Lorraine along with family and friends to most parts of Saskatchewan playing golf at all the courses he could with Emma Lake, Duck Mountain, and Green Water Lake being among his favorite spots.  He also enjoyed all the many years at the Craven Music Festivals, where he played music for friends and with friends.   He also enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas with family and friends.
Wayne is predeceased by his parents, Lorne and Pearl; two brothers and three brothers-in-law and his furry buddy “Cody”.
Our family wishes to thank Doctor Abbas, and the caring team of wonderful nurses and medical staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Center for their kindness and compassionate care shown throughout Wayne’s illness, as well as the palliative home care nurses and St. Paul’s palliative care unit for their wonderful care and kindness in keeping him comfortable in his final days.
