Wayne Derkatch

Wayne Paul Elvis Derkatch January 20th 1957 – November 10th 2015 It is with shock and sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Wayne Derkatch on November 10th 2015. Wayne was born in Canora, Saskatchewan on January 20th 1957. He recently retired after 35 years service with SaskTel. While enjoying his retirement, Wayne was looking forward to travelling with his family, motorcycling with his friends, and restoring his classic cars. Wayne was loved by all. He was a wonderful father, devoted son, and loving brother, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered by his children Chelsea and Tyler Derkatch; the mother of his children Shirley Pozniak; his father Paul Derkatch; his siblings Kenneth (Sylvia) Derkatch, Irvin (Peggy) Derkatch, Sharon (Dale) Procyshen, and Kathy Bridger (Jeff Pearson); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his mother Kathleen Derkatch (Hubelit) and infant brother Benson Derkatch. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wayne’s memory to the Canadian Arthritis Society.
