William John Hilliar

It is with profound sadness the family of John Hilliar announces his passing. John was born in Melfort, SK and lived on the family farm until he and his Mother moved into town after his Father's death. John is survived by his brother Jimmy (Betty) Hilliar; numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister-in law, Penny Bradwell. John worked for Pioneer Elevators, Unemployment Insurance in Melfort then transferred to the office in Saskatoon. He retired from Citizenship and Immigration, where he met his wife, Barbara. They spent many summers going to Ucluelet, BC. in his camper van, they went to Hawaii and also spent time with friends at Watrous, Manitou Beach. He loved to hang out with his friend Bobby and tinker on his 1948 Dodge truck. He loved to travel and he loved to read. He is predeceased by his parents, several siblings and his wife Barbara whom he lovingly called "Baby Boo" and who was the love of his life. "It didn't matter where they went, as long as they went together" (Piglet and Poo).
