William Reinhardt Schultz passed away on May 18, 2026 at 96. William (Bill) was born on April 14, 1930 on a farm near Duval, SK.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Frances (nee Piatka), parents Susanna and Reinhardt, one brother Robert (died at birth), brothers Jake, Dave and John, by his sisters Leah Gritzfeld, Emma Ryan, Molly McLean, Leonora Andreas, and by his nephews Robert, and Brian Koroll. Left to mourn is his youngest sister, Diane Koroll

Bill met Frances Piatka while she was teaching in Duval in 1952 and they were married in 1954 in Lestock. Together they had two daughters who, along with their families, are left to mourn his passing. Kathy Gossen (Randy Muzyka) and Karen Hunter (Barry). Karen and Barry have three beautiful children, Jackie McConaghy (Trevis), Dani Hunter-Boone (Jordan) and Cole Hunter (Blayre Joa). His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he loved them dearly. Bill also had four wonderful great grandchildren Hazel Hunter, Ace Hunter, Maeve Boone and Leo Boone. He loved hearing about their antics and thoroughly enjoyed their visits. Family was always welcome in the Schultz home. He loved having his family around and it was usually a big crowd.

Bill was always involved in business. In the early days it was Noremburg's IH dealership in Nokomis. Later he purchased White Motors in Semans and renamed it Schultz Motors selling farm equipment and Mercury cars.

The family moved to Saskatoon in 1968. Frances became a Guidance Counsellor at Nutana Collegiate and Bill continued with his entrepreneurial pursuits in Saskatoon. He was in partnership in L & S Equipment, an IH farm machinery dealership begun in 1970. When he sold L & S he retired and became a real estate owner. He owned several properties including the Norplex Business Centre with the Duval family.

He helped to start many community groups such as CAFE, (Family Business Association) POWL, (Owners of Wakaw Lake) and the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation. He served on the boards the Saskatoon Symphony and his Church as well as starting the "Village" Tenant Association. At 95 he began "Bill's Thursday morning coffee club" at Trinity Manor. Charity and giving back to the community were important to both Frances and Bill. For those so wishing donations can be made in honour of them to the Saskatoon Symphony or the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation (Prairie Butterfly House)

The family extends heart felt thanks to all the kind and caring staff at Trinity Manor - Lovely people all of them. Thank-you to Grand-Niece Tara Meissner at OverC Health Associates. Tara was Bill's weekly companion; so efficient and joyful. We also thank the Edwards family and all at the Saskatoon Funeral Home for easing our journey.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Saskatoon Funeral Home followed by a reception at the Edwards Family Centre.
