Winona married Les Senner in 1958. Christopher Leigh and Kerry Elizabeth joined the family by adoption. In the early 70's, they moved to Lame Deer, Montana to work with a community development project. In 1973, Les' work took them to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and several years later, the decision was made to become Canadian citizens. Winona's work world was varied.
