Yvette Alma McGill (nee Turgeon)

It is with great sadness that the family of Yvette McGill announces her passing early Monday morning of September 30 ^th , 2019, at the age of 80 years, following a long and courageous battle with COPD.  Yvette will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, John, and her children Suzanne (Terry) Holowach, Todd (Rozi) McGill, and Stephanie (Alfonso) Debernardi.  She will also be fondly remembered by her four (4) grandchildren; Jeremy (Michelle) Holowach, Jason Holowach (Courtney Ellis), Amy Holowach (Marcus Storey), and Ryleigh McGill, along with two (2) great grandchildren, Nyah and Navi Holowach, and by her siblings Doris (Vern) Clark, Denise (Tony) Schaan, and Gerry (Peggy) Turgeon.  Yvette was predeceased by her parents Rose and Leo Turgeon, and two (2) infant siblings.  Yvette had a long and distinguished career as a registered nurse, but her passion was keeping in touch with her numerous friends and relatives spread throughout Canada.  In their retirement years, when they were not RVing in the depths of Mexico or the USA, they’d be attending family reunions or visiting their children.  A funeral service in memory of Yvette will be held at the Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338-4 ^th Ave N, Saskatoon, on Sunday October 6, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., with Bev Ashwin officiating.  Interment will follow at the family plot at Laventure, Sk., (north of Spiritwood on Hwy 22) at 3:30 p.m.
