Zackary Brock Graham Klebaum
It is with unimaginable sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Zackary Klebaum, a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, who left this world far too soon. Zackary passed away on October 27th 2025, leaving behind family and friends devastated by his loss. He was only in the early chapters of his life and yet, in his short time, he accomplished so much and touched so many.
Born in the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on February 24th 1995, Zackary was the joy of his parents' lives - Brad Klebaum and Dr. Donna Brockmeyer - and was a source of pride and comfort to his extended family. From the very beginning, Zackary embodied qualities that defined him forever: kindness, respect, and an unwavering sense of adventure. He was confident, pleasant, and thoughtful, even as a child, saying things like "Nice to meet you" at age five. He listened with his whole heart and always made others feel valued.
Zackary's life was rich with experiences and achievements. He excelled academically, athletically, and entrepreneurially. He graduated from high school on the Principal's Honour Roll, maintaining a high academic average while balancing the challenges of living away from home, daily hockey practices and extensive travels for games as a competitive player. His intellectual curiosity and drive led him to Simon Fraser University where he played for the men's hockey team while pursuing a Business degree. Later, he enrolled at the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in Finance, Management, and Entrepreneurship.
Hockey was Zackary's passion. From his early days in the Saskatoon Flyers zone to elite AAA teams, and on the SJHL and University hockey, he demonstrated skill, leadership, and sportsmanship. In grade 5 he attended St. Albert's Sports Academy, spending half the day on the ice and the other half in the classroom. His hockey journey included playing for Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox. While playing in Boston where he had travelled with his dad and grandparents, he was scouted to win a scholarship for the Hill Academy hockey team in Toronto. Subsequent to high school, he played for the Nipawin Hawks, the La Ronge Ice Wolves, and the Kindersley Klippers. He represented Canada at the Bantam World Cup in Zell am See, Austria, winning Silver and played further in Europe across Switzerland, Germany, and the Czech Republic. His accolades were many: MVP, Assistant Captain for leadership and character, and countless championships. Zackary was a natural leader. Coaches admired him, teammates respected him, and friends loved him.
At just sixteen, Zackary founded All Care Enterprise Ltd., a thriving landscaping and snow removal company that quickly earned a reputation for reliability and excellence. His entrepreneurial spirit was evident not only in building a successful business but also in his desire to create opportunities for others. Zackary believed that business should serve a greater purpose, and he actively sought ways to contribute to community initiatives and to support social impact.
His sharp financial acumen complemented his business ventures. In 2016, Zackary began trading stocks, demonstrating discipline and insight that led to early success.
Zackary's life was not only about achievements, it was about experiences and relationships. He traveled extensively, and each journey reflected his love for family and his generous spirit. One of the most meaningful trips was hiking the Camino de Santiago to protect and guide his mother on her dream journey crossing Spain and France, and then spending two glorious weeks in Paris. Zackary treasured countless trips with his parents for hockey and holidays. He cherished time with his grandparents and had a beautiful relationship with all of his family.
Zackary was full of love and kindness, always giving hugs, always smiling, and always saying I love you. He wore a medal of St. James the Pilgrim, a testament to his faith and his pilgrim heart, always taking the road less traveled, always courageous.
Zackary leaves behind his heartbroken parents, Brad Klebaum and Dr. Donna Brockmeyer, and his loving grandparents, Lois and Lawrence Klebaum. He is also survived by many devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him deeply. Specifically, his Godfather Ted Brockmeyer of Saskatoon, Carol Breton of Saskatoon, Joyce (Doug) of Regina, James (Thuy Mai) of Calgary, Karen Brockmeyer of Sparwood, and Ron Sabo of Cochrane. Beyond his family, Zackary is mourned by countless friends, teammates, and colleagues whose lives were touched by his generosity, humor, and strength.
Zackary was predeceased by his grandparents Theodore and Clara Brockmeyer, his godmother and aunt Brenda Schmidt, his aunt Arlene Sabo, his uncles Murray (Sue) Brockmeyer and Leon Brockmeyer, and his cousins Adam Sabo and Courtney Sabo.
Zackary lived by values of honesty, courage, and compassion. Though his time here was short, his impact was immeasurable. Zackary was a pilgrim, a dreamer, a leader, and a friend. His courage and kindness will forever inspire those who knew him.
Zackary passed at home with his family at his side. We are grateful to the EMT team who diligently provided medical care.
The family takes comfort in knowing Zackary is embraced in the eternal love of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5th at 10:00 am at St. Paul Cathedral, 720 Spadina Crescent, Saskatoon. A light lunch will follow with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
