Shirley Enslin

Obituary of Shirley Lorraine Enslin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Enslin, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, who left us peacefully surrounded by family. Shirley was the heart of her home in Colonsay, where she cultivated not just her cherished garden but also the seeds of kindness and care in everyone she met.

Shirley had an incredible culinary instinct and so often expressed her love by cooking for and nourishing others. Shirley owned successful restaurants that served as a testament to her passion. Her hands shaped more than just exquisite pottery; they molded a legacy of creativity and generosity, as she joyously taught her crafts to others.

Her giving spirit was boundless, always the first to extend a helping hand. Shirley lived her life as the epitome of love and compassion, touching the lives of many with her charismatic presence. Her absence leaves a void in the community of Colonsay and the hearts of her extensive family, close friends, and anyone fortunate enough to have known her.

We invite you to join us in a celebration of Shirley's life on May 18th, 2024 at 1pm, at the Colonsay Hall and we will follow by travelling to her home, weather permitting. It will be a time to pay tribute, share stories and honour the beautiful moments Shirley gifted to our world.

Shirley's memory will forever bloom in the gardens she nurtured and in the warmth she brought to our lives. She will be dearly missed, always remembered, and forever cherished.

We love you always, Baba.
